Taipei, Taiwan—21 May 2025—Synology today announced the launch of the RackStation RS2825RP+, a powerful 3U 16-bay storage system engineered to meet the growing data management demands of small and medium-sized businesses. With redundant power supplies, flexible scalability, and built-in data protection, the RS2825RP+ is ideal for central file storage, endpoint and server backup, surveillance management, and other business-critical workloads.

The RS2825RP+ delivers impressive sequential read/write speeds of up to 3,519/1,790 MB/s, enabling fast file sharing, syncing, and backups across office environments. It supports up to 560 TB of raw storage when expanded with the Synology RX1225RP, making it suitable for data-intensive applications and growing storage needs.

The RS2825RP+ is engineered as a full-featured system to deliver consistent performance and reliability with Synology hard drives. It follows a carefully curated drive compatibility framework, backed by over 7,000 hours of rigorous testing. To ensure optimal integration and long-term dependability, DSM on the RS2825RP+ requires compatible hard drives* for installation.

Designed for scalability and uptime

Scalable storage: Start with 16 drive bays and scale up to 28 with a compatible expansion unit. Supports both 3.5" SATA HDDs and 2.5" SATA SSDs for flexible storage configurations.

All-flash and hybrid support: Deploy SATA SSDs as storage or read/write cache; further accelerate performance with Synology M.2 NVMe SSDs via an optional add-in card.

Network flexibility: One built-in 10GbE port and two Gigabit LAN ports, with optional 1/10/25GbE add-ons via PCIe 3.0 expansion slot.

Service Continuity: Includes hot-swappable drives, online volume expansion, and redundant power supplies to maintain uptime. Optional high-availability clustering further enhances resilience.
